Enjoyed this and wholeheartedly agree. I've had an iPhone for a few generations now, and other than 'usability' I'm not sure Apple are at the forefront of innovation these days. Their walled garden approach might well be to the detriment to users, e.g. in the case of not allowing xCloud on iOS.

Also as a guy of a similar age who also grew up with a Mac (my dad always claimed it was better for work), I could very much relate to the sad lack of compatible games. It was either the blocky future tank shooter Spectre Challenger, or batshit purposeless Cyan games like The Manhole and Cosmic Osmo (which were still kinda fun). But I was so jealous of my PC-owning friends who could play C&C or TIE Fighter etc.
